Story Programs: The library offers a preschool story hour series several times each year for ages 3-5. Toddler Time for ages 1-2 (12-36 months) is a new offering. In addition, programs for those entering grades K-5 and for 6th grade and older are held during the summer and on special occasions during the year. Pre-registration is required for library programs. Check the library events page for dates and times of story programs. Class Visits: Teachers may call to arrange class visits to the library and art gallery at any time during the year. Programs: Check the library events page for special programs, including author visits. Booktalking: A unique offering is Booktalking, which provides regular programming at Perry Central Schools. Stories Under the Tree: The Perry Public Library presents a series of stories to the children attending the Perry Village Summer Recreation Program at the Village park in the summer. Children's Room: The library boasts a spacious children's room, complete with a small stage for performances. A large up-to-date collection of books and materials finds a wide audience. Perry Public Library's holdings, along with the holdings of other members of the Pioneer Library System, are available on OWWL Access. Project Read: Perry Public Library participates in Project Read, a county-wide family reading program in which children earn free paperback books by reading for 15 minutes a day at least 20 days each month.
