LIBRARY BOARD MEETINGS

The Library Board meets the FIRST MONDAY of each month at
7:00 PM
in the library's art gallery.
(Please note the new Board meeting day and time beginning August 2013.)

Upcoming Board Meeting dates are:

Monday, May 5, 2014, 7:00 PM
Monday, June 2, 2014, 7:00 PM

Monday, July 7, 2014, 7:00 PM
Board meeting day and time is set at the July meeting each year (annual meeting).

NOTICE

Beginning with the Monday, October 7, 2013, meeting of the Perry Public Library Board of Trustees, persons wishing to address the Board at the meeting must notify the Board by library closing time of 1:00 PM on the Saturday prior to the meeting in order to be included on the agenda.  All requests must clearly state the name of the requestor and the general subject of his/her comments.  Each speaker will be limited to 3 minutes.   The Board of Trustees reserves the right to limit the number of speakers on the agenda.   Requests to be included on the agenda can be made at the library, by email to perrylibrarydirector@owwl.org, or by mail sent to Perry Public Library Agenda, Board of Trustees, 70 North Main St., Perry, NY 14530.

In addition, beginning with the September 2013 meeting and continuing on a trial basis for three months, there will be an open session at each Board of Trustees meeting where anyone may address the Board regarding the parking lot project without any prior request.

Library trustees are elected in the spring for 5-year terms which begin July 1.  (Click on New Charter for information about the formation of a new library district in 2002 and initial election of trustees.)

The public is served by a full-time library director, a full-time youth services librarian, and several part-time support staff members.
