Notice of Election and Special Meeting of Qualified Voters* of the Perry Central School District

LIBRARY TRUSTEE SEAT:

One (1) seat (5-year term) is to be filled on the Perry Public Library Board of Trustees at an election to be held at the Library on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, Noon to 9:00 PM. Incumbent is Beverly Pedlow, whose term expires June 30, 2008.

The following candidate has submitted the required petition and will be on the ballot for the trustee seat at the June 3rd vote:

Beverly Pedlow ran unopposed for this seat.

RESULTS: Beverly Pedlow was elected with 46 votes.
One (1) write-in vote was received for Ruth Gibson.

LIBRARY BUDGET:

A vote for the annual funding of $175,000 for Perry Public Library will be held at the same time as the trustee election on June 7, 2008, Noon to 9:00 PM at the Library.

RESULTS:
The budget proposition passed with 40 YES and 10 NO

*VOTER QUALIFICATIONS
In order to participate in the voting process, one must be:
1. A citizen of the United States.
2. At least eighteen (18) years old.
3. A resident of the school district for a period of thirty (30) days
preceding the date of this vote.

BUDGET AMOUNT:

The amount of annual library funding voted on was $175,000.
Tax impact for residents of the Perry Central School District is 59.95¢ per $1,000 of current assessed property value.
